Install Thaelior on WordPress

Add the widget to a WordPress site with our plugin. No code to edit, and WordPress offers updates for you.

Updated October 24, 2026

Before you start

You need:

  • a Thaelior account,
  • a WordPress site running WordPress 5.8 or later and PHP 7.4 or later,
  • an administrator login for that site.

1. Download the plugin

In your dashboard, open Install, choose the WordPress tab, then Download for WordPress. You can also download it from the Integrations page. You get a file called thaelior.zip. Don't unzip it.

2. Upload and activate it

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  2. Choose thaelior.zip, then Install Now.
  3. Click Activate Plugin.

3. Paste your license key

  1. In your Thaelior dashboard, on Install, copy your license key from the WordPress tab. It starts with th_.
  2. In your WordPress admin, open the Thaelior menu in the sidebar.
  3. Paste the key under License key, then Save Changes.

The plugin checks your key straight away. When it works, you see Connected with your AI agent's name, and the chat button appears on your site.

The plugin's own screen is in English, whatever language your WordPress uses.

Turn the widget off for a while

In the Thaelior menu, untick Show the chat widget on my site and save. The widget disappears from every page and the plugin stays installed.

To show the widget only on some pages, use Where the widget shows on Install instead. It works the same with the plugin.

Updates

WordPress shows new versions of the plugin on its Plugins screen, like any other plugin. You can also turn on automatic updates for Thaelior there.

Everything else is set in your dashboard

Your agent's name, colour, knowledge and actions are set in your Thaelior dashboard. Changes there reach your site automatically: there's nothing to change or save again in WordPress.
